Automation Test Engineer

Welcome to DEKRA Arbeit. For one of our clients based in Geneva, we are currently seeking an Automation Test Engineer.

Your Role:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test cases for web and backend applications

• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle

• Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs, and assist with root cause analysis

• Create performance and load testing scripts to ensure scalable and reliable systems

• Contribute to continuous improvements in testing processes and quality assurance workflows

• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to test planning and estimation

Your Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 3–6 years of experience in test automation

• Proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG)

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps

• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle, and agile practices

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST-assured

• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail

• Fluency in French and English is required
