System Engineer

Welcome to DEKRA Arbeit. For a client of ours, we are currently looking for a System Engineer in Zürich.

Your Role:

• You will be responsible for the design, configuration, and maintenance of the client’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and virtualization platforms

• Collaborating with IT architects and project managers to implement secure and scalable systems solutions

• You will monitor system performance and proactively address issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability

• Take a leading role in automating repetitive tasks and improving system deployment processes

• You will support backup and disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing

• Maintain system documentation and provide technical guidance and support to internal teams

Your Profile:

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, with 3–6 years of experience in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and networking concepts

• Experience with automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible)

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus

• Experience with system monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus)

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Fluency in German and English
